Baglio Oneto dei Principi di San Lorenzo is an ancient noble residence from the 1700’s founded for agriculture, with the main production of wine and olive oil. The baglio, “fortified house”, was the place where the harvest was protected, in our case by high walls and a crenellated tower. The Resort is located in Marsala on a green and flowery hill and very close to a sandy beach and crystal sea. Surrounded by vineyard and olives threes, its dominating position allows a mesmerizing view of the sea, Egadi Islands and the Natural Reserve of the Stagnone with the phoenician island of Mozia.

Still nowadays, under the careful management of the Palmeri-Oneto family, extra virgin olive oil and different wines are produced, including the famous Marsala DOC meditation wine. The aromatic herbs growing in the garden of the baglio, give the restaurants dishes the ancient flavors of Sicilian tradition.

The Resort consists of 49 rooms, restaurant, bar and a panoramic swimming pool with a view of the sea and islands. Specialized staff will welcome guests to their reserved room: Superior Room category overlooking Marsala’s countryside, Deluxe with sea view, Junior Suites with private lounge and the original Tower Room.                                

The spacious rooms, renovated in 2020, show the colors of the most authentic Sicilian tradition and elegant furnishings in ceramic, wrought iron, and precious wood. Rooms are equipped with the most innovative home automation and comforts (Samsung Smart TV, Dorelan Memory Foam Mattresses, etc.), each of them has a balcony or a patio, the floors are tiled.

The wine tasting tour is strongly recommended at the beginning of the stay to get to know the history and characteristics of the baglio, the Oneto family, the Marsala wine and the miths and legends of this wonderful land. During the tasting in the small aging cellar, full of ancient work tools and a timeless atmosphere, the guests will discover the flavor of the Sicilian essence through the combination of each of our wine and olive oil with typical products .

In the late afternoon the bar offers a splendid sunset on the sea and islands, the best moment to enjoy the Signature Cocktails “Baglio Oneto”, made using their own wines.
